Fidel Michel is an Associate at FOSTERS having joined our team in August 2020 after completing his Law Degree. Fidel was born in Saint Lucia and pursued a Bachelor of science degree at the University of the West Indies, combining his favorite academic discipline of Sociology with his intended career in law and completed a Bsc in Sociology and Law. He then transferred from the Faculty of Social Sciences to the Law Faculty from which he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB (Hons). Fidel then entered the Sir Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad where he attained the Legal Education Certificate (L.E.C).
At the end of his first year at Law School, Fidel was required to undertake a ten-week in service training programme with a law firm and chose FOSTERS as the Law Firm at which to do so. He was later employed by the firm as a Legal Assistant and upon his call to the bar Fidel became a proud Associate of FOSTERS.
Fidel has displayed a passion for all areas of civil law, a penchant for incisive research and quality writing and the potential and promise of a high-quality advocate. Indeed, even before his call to the bar and appointment as an Associate, Fidel was part of the team at FOSTERS working on some very complex legal matters and he made it easy for one to forget that he was not yet a lawyer already seasoned in the practice.
